“The Team”

I did not just rewatch the Agents of Shield episode that utterly depressed me yesterday. Nope. I did not do that. I did not rewatch the promo for 3×19 “The Singularity” and I did not, repeat DID NOT watch sneak peeks and YouTube videos on Agents of Shield and depress myself even more. Nope.

I was definitely doing my homework. Yep. I remember quite clearly doing my homework. Obviously. What else what I be doing on a school night?…..

Throne of Glass Review: Spoilers!

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Rating: 4/5

I really liked how fast-paced this novel was. It was never boring at any point, and I kept needing more. For a novel of this size, it usually would have taken me a day or two longer to read it, but I couldn’t put it down.

Can I just say, the King is an evil little nincompoop? Enough said.

Am I the only one who can’t pronounce any of the names in this novel? I couldn’t take some scenes seriously because I kept pronouncing ‘Chaol’ as ‘Kale’ and I kept laughing. Oopsies…

I really liked that the romance was slow, and kept building throughout the story, but without all that much romance actually happening between the characters. It was a nice change from instalove.

A love triangle. Of course there’s a love triangle. I typically enjoy reading about love triangles, and this was no exception. I also keep hearing about someone called Rowan on the internet. Is a love square coming in future novels? I hated Dorian in the beginning of this novel. He was too self-righteous and confident. I wanted to smash something into that pretty little head of his. Chaol, on the other hand, I began to like only a few chapters in. How the tables have turned! I love Dorian, and really want him to be with Celaena, and whilst I like Chaol, if he ends up with Celaena I am going to break something. And of course, scream. I think the one constant, the only person I liked throughout the entire novel, is Celaena.

I found it interesting to read about an assassin who had compassion. Celaena had a lot. A few examples would be her compassion for Nehemia, especially when the 500 rebels were killed, and also her compassion for Fleetfoot, whom would have probably been killed without her interference.

Fleetfoot is adorable. I want myself a Fleetfoot.

I liked that at the end of the novel, Celaena ceased to be with Dorian, but she was still happy. It frustrates me in novels where the girl breaks up with the guy, (or vice versa), and the girl cries, or cries when she’s walking away or whatever. NO. You don’t need a freakin’ man to be happy in life. I really liked that about Celaena.

HER SASS. How can you not love Celaena’s sass? It was amazing.

At some point or another in this novel, I suspected almost everyone of being the person who was killing the champions. I think the only people I didn’t suspect were Celaena, Dorian, Chaol, Fleetfoot and Cain. I loved that Maas kept me guessing, and made me constantly doubt everyone. I suspected the King, Nehemia, even Nox. I can’t believe it was one of the only people I didn’t suspect that it ended up being. Like Celaena, as soon as I found out it was Cain I felt stupid, like it was obviously him, but we just didn’t realise it. I really liked that Maas made innocent people look guilty and guilty people look innocent. And a few guilty people look guilty. *cough cough* The King *cough cough*

One thing that I didn’t like about this novel would have to be the jumps in time. All of a sudden it’s two weeks later. What happened in those two weeks? Why not write about them? It’s something that has always, always bugged me in novels. I guess it makes sense, because the novel takes place over a matter of months, and to fit in every week, every challenge and every death would take up a bit of space in the novel, but it has always annoyed me in novels.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I’m excited to see what Maas does with the rest of the series. (:

Chloe Bennet

Happy birthday Chloe Bennet, the amazing Daisy Johnson on Agents of Shield!

Daisy is literally the best kickass female character ever, and probably my all time favourite fictional character. Chloe Bennet is also an amazing actress, and portrays Daisy beautifully. I absolutely love her songs from when she was a popstar in China. (Chloe Wang).

I love you Chloe!!!!! ❤

Happy birthday!!

Eadlyn and Ahren Schreave

Happy birthday Eadlyn and Ahren Schreave!!

I love you both! Eadlyn, even though you’re annoying and whiny and sometimes I want to smash you over the head with a lamp, I love you!!

And Ahren, even though you left Eadlyn in her time of need, and you are disgustingly in love with Camille or whatever her name is, I still love you as well! Besides, you totally had reason to ditch Eadlyn, she was being seriously annoying.

So happy birthday Eadlyn and Ahren!! 🙂

Zelena + Agents of Shield

Happy birthday Zelena!! I love you, my sweet, psychotic, precious little baby. ❤

You may have noticed that I haven’t been on in a while. This is not because I have been busy with schoolwork, and it is not because I have a life outside of fandoms. (I don’t). It is because I have been binge watching Agents of Shield. Yep, from 1xo1 to now. Because I have no life. I have watched the whole show at least five times a year, every year since it started. And I love it!! It renewed my Skyeward feels, but it also increased my StaticQuake feels. #mypoorshipperheart

I’m actually only up to episode 3×15 of Agents of Shield, but I just thought what if the death Malick saw was his daughter’s? I mean, aside from himself, he doesn’t seem to really care about anybody else. Except his daughter. He seemed pretty scared after Charles touched him, and we know that when Charles touches someone they both see a death. So since Malick doesn’t really care about anyone else, who did he see die?

We know that somebody is going to die. When Daisy touches Charles, the second time, we see something blow up. I think it was the ship, but I’m half asleep at the moment. Anyway, whoever dies inside of that ship has the S.H.I.E.L.D logo on their clothing. So it’s obviously an agent. But who?

My theories:

Daisy – It’s very possible that Daisy is the one that dies. Since the person whose death you see, you have to actually be near, I’m guessing that the death she saw was perhaps her own. I really, really, really hope not. Otherwise I am going to throw something very heavy, scream for all eternity, perhaps break my TV, scream some more…

When Simmons said “what if the death Daisy saw was her own?’ the first time Daisy touched Charles, I feel like it was a line of foreshadowing. Foreshadowing for the second time Daisy touched Charles and she saw a death. Maybe the second death is her own.

If it is, I’m going to break a lot more than just my TV, I’ll throw so many things at walls, and, obviously, more screaming. I LOVE YOU SKYE!! Dammit, Daisy.

Lincoln – I don’t even know why I think it might be him, it’s just a feeling that I have. Though I will also scream and break things if he dies. I love Lincoln. ❤

Joey – DON’T EVEN ASK. I mean, I know right? Why the hell would Joey be the one who dies?  But I can’t explain it, I feel like he has something to do with it, or it is him or something. I don’t even know.

Elena “Yo-Yo” – I definitely think that it is Yo-Yo more than any of the others. Firstly, I know she’ll be in the show again. And what is really the point of her character if she’s not going to take part in something significant? I don’t really see a purpose to her character if they don’t do something major with her. Secondly, just before the ship blows up, there are all sorts of random objects floating around, and one of these objects happens to be a crucifix necklace. Exactly like the one Yo-Yo wears.

You may have noticed by now that all of my theories lead to an inhuman dying. I definitely think that it’s going to be one of them, and Yo-Yo is my best guess. The death is going to occur this season, so we won’t have to wait too much longer to figure out what it is. Which is a relief because I have been panicking 24/7 over who is going to die. I’m panicking right now, as a matter of fact.

Emperor Kaito

I love The Lunar Chronicles. It’s one of my favourite book series ever.

So since my wifi wasn’t working earlier, happy birthday to Kai for yesterday!! Though technically, it’s wasn’t his birthday, because he hasn’t been born yet…

This is why dystopian novels confuse me. Kai is older than me, but I’m actually older than him, because he’s born after WW4.

Anyways… happy belated birthday!
